Small die forgings
VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation produces hollow extruded forgings which are used as a feedstock for manufacture of gas turbine engine shafts and other parts (bearings, landing gear legs) used to assemble aircrafts.
Dimensions of hollow extruded forgings: outer diameter 45 mm to 275 mm.
Disks
VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation produces die forged disks for aircraft and power engineering applications with the weight between 3 to 300 kg.
Blades
VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation produces blades by isothermal forging, as well as blades subject to straightening combined with thermomechanical processing in isothermal conditions. These operations are performed on a press equipped with isothermal unit capable of heating the dies and maintaining the work zone (deformation zone) temperature up to 1050°С. These operations allow to reduce resistance to strain and improve the structure and properties isotropy throughout the die forging section which reduces the machining allowance. The blade shape can be either straight or curved (twisted) Blades are supplied as heat treated, annealed, or non-heat-treated. Shot blasting and etching are performed to remove scale and enamel residues, and to achieve marketable appearance of blades.
The blades are used for aircraft applications.
